ADPF calls for practical climate reporting reform
ADPF has lodged a submission to Treasury’s consultation on improving the efficiency of climate-related financial disclosures, calling for a more practical and proportionate approach to implementation.
Our submission asks government to contain assurance costs, provide clearer guidance on “undue cost or effort”, protect dairy farmers and other SMEs from excessive Scope 3 data requests, and improve access to credible Australian emissions factors. We are also seeking greater recognition of industry-led tools and better alignment between AASB S2, NGER and other reporting frameworks to reduce duplication and unnecessary compliance costs.
