Submission: Sunsetting ACCU methods

ADIC has called for four of the sunsetting methods for the Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCU) Scheme to be remade, due to their importance to the Australian dairy industry.

In our submission to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) we recommended the following methods be remade to maintain consistency, provide certainty for stakeholders, and avoid disruption to existing projects and investments that are actively contributing to emissions reductions and broader climate goals.

1. Domestic, Commercial, and Industrial Wastewater Method
2. Alternative Waste Treatment Method
3. Estimating Sequestration of Carbon in Soil Using Default Values Method, and
4. Reforestation and Afforestation 2.0 Method
